When hiring a maid you should always ask a couple of questions, such as:
- If they have worked in Costa Rica and for whom?
- What type of work she used to do at the house?
- If she likes children and animals?
- If she prefers work that is live-in or travel?
- How often does she travels to her home country?
Asking these questions is very important for you to know what kind of maid in which you are hiring, especially when it involves children.
Many domestic workers think or believe they can travel 2 times or more a year, maybe this doesn't work for you, so, it is better to talk and come to an agreement.
These are some steps we follow in our agency when hiring a maid:
RECOMMENDATION: Do not leave valuables such as jewelry or money when the domestic worker has just begun to work in your home you should always be very conscience and make them understand that you are leaving in their hands everything you have worked for and of course the most valuable treasure, your children.
